I have a three-step approach to optimal wellness.
Think of our whole body as a garden and our gut is where the roots our housed. If we don’t feed the ‘plants and soil’ (our body) properly, we are at greater risk of getting weeds and ‘rotted roots’ (the result of unhealthy practices like excessive use of antibiotics or other OTC meds, eating overly processed foods, chemicals, added sugars, and, smoking, etc.). My guess is that you want your body to be in optimal health – where your garden can bloom!
After our Discovery Call and completion of your intake form, we will personalize a package that fits best for you. Consultations can be one-on-one (if you live within 30 miles of Dunwoody, GA), over the phone, or via video conference from the comfort of your home.
I request that you please complete the all forms and send any current labs at least 48 hours prior to your appointment so that I can review these documents before our consultations
step 1 — (Re)Discovery Call
Let’s Begin Sowing Seeds — This free 20-minute discovery call will give us time to learn more about one another and see if we are a good fit to working together. We will discuss your general nutrition concerns, symptom survey, and goals; along with answering any questions you may have. I will provide you suggestions on which nutrition action plan would be best suited for you based on our conversation.
In order to begin sowing seeds - making that connection and rediscovering what optimal health looks like for you, we will:
Have a 20-minute Discovery call.
Discuss general nutrition concerns, your completed symptom survey, and goals.
Plan next steps for creating a personalized nutrition action plan for you based off my expertise as an Integrative and Functional Dietitian.
step 2 — (Re)Storing Our Whole Self
Let’s Get To The Roots — This will be where we complete an in-depth analysis of your health and habits based off your intake form and labs provided/ordered. We will create a personalized program for you based on your specific needs and goals.
In order for us to get to the root cause(s) of your health issues and restore your whole self (this will be a minimum of three consultations), we will:
Go over the story of your health and medical history.
Have a discussion about your past and current symptoms.
Review labs you’ve gathered from working with other health professionals.
Create a customized wellness plan.
Complete additional specialty laboratory testing as needed.
Assess how your treatment plan is going and possibly provide other lab work, food plans, or supportive treatments.
Re-address any health imbalances and review results from re-tests.
step 3 — (Re)Balancing Our Bodies:
Let’s Cultivate And Maintain — This will be where we strive to keep your health in balance and maintain wellness optimization. We will continue tracking your progress and if need be, adjust your wellness plan. There is also possibility of re-testing if needed.
In order for us to maintain and nurture your garden – we must keep your body in balance (this is a long-term, maintenance step that will be anywhere from one to four consultations a year) and by doing so, we will:
Update your wellness plan and tailor your needs based on you overall health.
Re-assess if any functional labs are needed or changes to nutrition care plan.
Review annual labs from annual primary care visits.
Make adjustments to your health goals and restore lifestyle habits to maintain balance.
Continue to nourish your body.
Your Symptoms Help Determine the Nutrition Package
We are all unique individuals and have our own “roots” that need some restoring and rebalancing to maintain optimal wellness. This is why I create a customized functional nutrition package just for you. The questions below will help prompt you to think about some of the labs that could be part of your package.
Is your food making you sick? Do you have sensitivities to specific foods, food-additives, and food-chemicals? Are you suffering from digestive complaints, chronic headaches or migraines, joint & muscle pains, fatigue, weight imbalances?
-> If any of these conditions are suspected, you would be a good candidate for the MRT/LEAP test – an ImmunoCalm protocol and maybe a microbiome test.
Are you feeling bloated, having acid reflux, or having gas after eating most meals? Have you seen a GI doctor and have been told they can’t find anything after doing a endoscope? Were you ever checked for celiac? Have you had a comprehensive stool test?
-> If your main focus is on the gut, you would be a good candidate for a microbiome test. and possibly SIBO breath test or genetic testing.
Are you having trouble falling asleep, wake up around 3am – 4am, feeling wired and tired most days? Are you waking up and must have some form of caffeine to get going? Do you have trouble with stubborn weight loss? Is life generally stressful?
-> When stress is a big part of our life and affecting out sleep, you would be a good candidate for hormone testing and possibly micronutrients.
Is your diet meeting your recommended daily intake of vitamins and minerals? Could you be training for a race? Are you having cardiovascular or metabolic syndrome health issues, depression, fertility concerns? Are you taking supplements?
-> Finding these answers could mean you are a good candidate for hormone testing, micronutrients, and possibly even food sensitivity testing.
